Kegna Beverages Share Company is seeking a qualified and experienced Microbiologist to join its Quality Assurance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting microbiological tests and analyses on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure hygienic and quality standards are consistently met in the production of beverages.
Key Responsibilities:

Perform microbiological analysis of raw materials, wort, fermentation samples, green beer, and finished products.

Monitor yeast health and performance, including viability and vitality tests.

Conduct environmental monitoring (air, water, surfaces) across production areas.

Ensure microbiological quality of packaging materials and cleaned equipment (e.g., bottles, kegs).

Carry out microbial control at critical points (e.g., filtration, BBTs, pasteurization).

Manage and refresh yeast cultures as per production schedules and ensure proper storage.

Execute and oversee Clean-In-Place (CIP) procedures for tanks, lines, and other equipment.

Prepare and sterilize culture media, reagents, and lab equipment.

Keep laboratory instruments calibrated, clean, and documented.

Maintain accurate records in digital and physical lab systems.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams on process improvements and product stability.

Support audits and ensure compliance with standards like EBC, HACCP, and ISO systems.

Communicate results clearly and escalate non-compliance issues to the Quality Manager.

Participate in training, SOP updates, and corrective action implementation.

Uphold hygiene, safety (PPE), and 5S standards in all laboratory and production practices.
Qualifications and Experience:
Education:
MSc or BSc in Biology, Microbiology, Food Science, or related fields.
Experience:

Minimum of 2 years for MSc holders or 4 years for BSc holders in a relevant microbiology/quality control role.
Required Skills:

Strong microbiological testing and analysis capabilities.

Ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks under pressure.

Innovative thinking with excellent problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of hygiene standards, food safety, GMP, and microbiological compliance systems.

Proficiency in laboratory systems and MS Excel.

Effective team collaboration and communication skills.
