Position: Part-Time Social Media Officer
We are seeking a creative, motivated, and tech-savvy Part-Time Social Media Officer to strengthen our digital presence and community engagement. You will be the voice of Biruh Adis across all social platforms, telling powerful stories through photos and video.
Key Responsibilities: What You Will Do

Platform Management: Manage and grow the organization’s social media platforms (Facebook, Telegram, Twitter/X, Instagram, TikTok) to increase visibility and engagement.

Content Creation: Create high-quality, engaging content, including photo shoots, video editing, and graphic design, that reflects the dignity and resilience of migrant returnees.

Digital Storytelling: Translate complex advocacy messages into simple, powerful visual stories that resonate with Ethiopian and international audiences.

Strategy & Analytics: Develop and implement social media strategies. Monitor analytics (reach, engagement, conversions) and adapt campaigns for maximum impact.

Community Engagement: Respond to comments and messages, fostering an online community of supporters and advocates.

Collaboration: Work closely with the program team to align digital communication with organizational goals and campaigns.
About You: Qualifications & Skills
Education:
-
Diploma or Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or a related field.
Experience:
-
Minimum of 1 year of proven experience in social media management (for a brand, organization, or personal portfolio with significant growth).
Technical Skills:
-
Strong knowledge of photo shoots and photography (able to take professional-quality photos with a camera or smartphone).

Proficiency in video creation and editing (CapCut, InShot, Premiere Pro, or similar).

Basic graphic design skills (Canva or Adobe Suite) are a strong plus.

Understanding of social media analytics and scheduling tools.
Soft Skills:

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Amharic and English (essential for storytelling).

High creativity and ability to think outside the box.
