Job Requirements and Qualifications

Education: University Degree or College Diploma accompanied by an official IATA Foundation in Travel & Tourism certification.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of practical, hands-on experience working directly inside an IATA-accredited travel agency.
Specific Experience: Clear, functional experience operating call center channels and handling high-volume customer travel itineraries.
Location: Based permanently in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.

Main Responsibilities

The selected agent will manage delicate travel itineraries and coordinate logistics seamlessly by fulfilling these duties:

Handle flight reservations and issue tickets utilizing standard global distribution platforms with an advanced proficiency in Galileo.
Provide accurate fare quotations, flexible rebooking options, and comprehensive itineraries directly to local and international clients.
Process customer payments, refunds, flight cancellations, and ticket revalidations in strict compliance with individual airline policies.
Resolve customer complaints professionally while maintaining an updated knowledge of ongoing airline promotions and IATA regulations.
Prepare systematic daily, weekly, and monthly sales and ticketing activity reports for review by the management team.

Core Skills Required

Advanced proficiency in Galileo and practical booking systems execution.
Strong communication skills in both English and Amharic (additional language skills provide a distinct advantage).
Solid background in call center handling and under-pressure client problem-solving.
High attention to detail, accuracy in financial ticketing operations, and strong time management.
