Job Requirements and Qualifications
To be eligible for these Electrical Engineer jobs in Ethiopia, candidates must meet the following:

Education: BSc Degree in Electrical Engineering, Control & Instrumentation Engineering, or related field.

Experience: Minimum 3–6 years of relevant experience in a steel mill or heavy industrial environment.

Specific Experience: Experience in industrial automation and heavy machinery maintenance is highly preferred.

Location: Based in Addis Ababa (Dukem plant), Ethiopia.
Main Responsibilities

Lead troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of industrial electrical systems including substations and transformers.

Manage and program PLC systems (Siemens, Schneider) and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs).

Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime.
Core Skills Required

Industrial Automation: Strong knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and high-voltage systems.

Technical Proficiency: Hands-on experience with VFDs and power distribution.

Software Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
